It has just been revealed that Contador tested positive for the banned substance Clenbuterol during the recent Tour de France. He’s trying to explain how this happened, but now there is evidence that it might be connected with blood doping. At the time of writing, no decision has been made about Contador’s future but it isn’t looking good…

I enjoy watching great cyclists in action in the big races, but I’m getting really sick of the constant doping scandals. The news broke during the World Cycling Championships from Geelong, Australia. It seemed like every commerical break had Contador’s Sidi cycling shoes advert on. I was getting peeved about it!

Hey, I still love the Sidi shoes and the sport of cycling, I just wish those guys would just get together behind closed doors and agree to do it clean!

I finally got round to posting my little review video to YouTube and have embedded it on the Sidi Bike Shoes home page. It’s pretty embarrassing really, but at least you can take a good look at my Sidi shoes.

I’m still saving for those Sidi mountain bike shoes, but to be honest, I mainly cycle on the road these days.

This little site, unsurprisingly given its name, is about Sidi bike shoes. I have owned 2 pairs of Sidi road cycling shoes in the past 20 years and would highly recommend Sidi as a brand. It is one of the most respected brands in cycling and I can see why. Italian style, innovation and craftsmanship – what’s not to like? Okay, perhaps the price, but I say that you get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a bit more for a pair of shoes which are comfortable and which last. Even better when they look good too!

Despite the site being blog-based, I won’t be making lots of posts because I’ll be saying most of I want to say on a few ‘static’ pages.

I’m trying to make a little money here and there to subsidise my cycling by promoting products and services which I like.

I’ll find a good supplier for Sidi shoes and add links on the site later.
